Designed for massive first strike insertions where artillery may not be readily available, the Mauler excels in it's role as a dropship and as a heavy fire support vehicle. 46 Swarmer warheads in the launchers can easily take down any air or armored ground unit, allowing the thirty or so infantry units on the ground to concentrate solely on enemy infantry without harrassment from enemy vehicles. When enemy infantry have an entrenched position, ground forces may call in the Mauler to use its dual turreted heavy plasma artillery to scatter or destroy the enemy position.

Heavily armored and shielded, the Mauler can stay on station for almost an indefinite period of time. Twin internal fusion generators within the thick neutronium hull of the Mauler provide all the power for thrust, energy weapons, and sheilds, the dropship will ever need. The Mauler also incorperates modular capability, giving the Mauler a long distance, bomber, and stealth version.
